PUPILS at Studley Green Primary School have helped to name a new housing development on the old John Bull pub site.
Having consulted local primary school children, Selwood Housing Association has named its new development Platinum Court.
Back in June, Selwood Housing reached out to Studley Green Primary School to involve the children in naming the site.
The excited pupils were asked to think of name ideas, eventually voting for the top three names. The final decision was made by Trowbridge Town Council and Wiltshire Council.
The Studley Green Primary School pupils were also given the opportunity to attend a site inspection to see building work progress and were given plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
Paul Walsh, Selwood Housing’s group development director, said: “I really want to thank the children on the school council and the staff for making the time to come up with a great name and for taking the time to come to see our site.
“The project team, site team and I really enjoyed showing the school council around and answering their excellent questions about the new homes.”
Platinum Court will include six homes for affordable social rent and three for shared ownership.
