Two men have been arrested for breaching a closure order on a property after anti-social behaviour caused “distress” for neighbours.

The men breached an order preventing anyone, other than the residents, from entering a property in Ferris Way, Trowbridge, for three months.

The order was granted on Thursday, February 2, after concerns were raised by the local community regarding anti-social behaviour at the property.

On Saturday, February 4, 41-year-old Dean Cochrane from Trowbridge and 37-year-old Dean Griffiths, of Berryfield Park in Melksham, were located at the property and charged with breaching a closure order.

A small amount of class A and B drugs were also found at the property after a section eight warrant was executed on Friday, January 27, although no arrests have been made in relation to this.

PS Charly Chilton, of the Trowbridge Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “The anti-social behaviour taking place at this property has caused no end of distress for the local community and neighbours.

“We have been conducting patrols near the property and the disorderly behaviour has continued, leaving us with no choice but to seek a closure order for it.

“Hopefully this will provide some peace and respite for the community. We won’t hesitate to continue enforcing the order should people continue to attend the property.”
