A  teenager has been pushed off his e-scooter and verbally abused by a middle aged man.

At around 10.40am on January 17 the 13-year-old was on his way to school in Paxcroft Mead, Trowbridge, on the footpath south of Castell Close heading towards Leap Gate, when he was approached by a man in his 40s or 50s at the intersection of Parsonage Road.

The man shoved the teen off his e-scooter before verbally threatening him.

No injuries were sustained during the incident.

The suspect is not known to the child and is described as around 5ft 11 tall with a medium build. He was wearing glasses, a dark beanie hat and a blue puffer jacket, and had two gold coloured dogs with him.

Wiltshire police are now appealing for witnesses to come forwards with any information that will help them locate the suspect.

A spokesperson for the police said: “We are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was pushed off their electric scooter in Trowbridge.
