Snow looks set to fall over Wiltshire overnight as temperatures plummet.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice covering the county from 9pm on Monday through to 10am on Tuesday.
The latest forecasts for the town from the Met Office suggest that there will be an 80 per cent chance of rain late on Monday night, which will turn into sleet and then heavy snow by 5am as the temperature drops close to zero.
A dry day is set to follow but a further yellow warning has been issued for all of Wednesday (March 8).
The Met Office says there is a 60 per cent chance of snow falling again from 3am until midnight, with highs of just 3C and lows of -1C.
Thursday could see a shift towards warmer conditions, with highs of 7C predicted by the evening.
The weekend could see something close to a return to spring-like conditions, with some sunshine on Saturday and possible highs of 12C on Sunday.
