An inquest into the death of a man who died at Center Parcs' Longleat Forest holiday resort is to resume in May.

Gas engineer Kieran Michael Killeen-McGuirk, 54, died when he bumped his head after falling off a bike his family had hired while on holiday at Center Parcs in Longleat.

Mr Killeen-McGuirk, 54, from Blackwater, Hampshire, immediately went into cardiac arrest.

Despite desperate efforts to revive him by emergency services, he died at the scene of the tragedy on May 20 last year.

Ian Singleton, the Wiltshire & Swindon Area Coroner, opened the inquest into his death on May 31 2022. It will be resumed on May 10 at the Coroner’s Court in Salisbury.

The family had only just arrived at the resort near Warminster when the incident occurred.

The opening inquest was told that Mr Killeen-McGuirk was on holiday with his wife Esteller, who owns a beauty salon, and daughter Reanna Killeen-McGuirk.

He hired a bike with his family and went cycling with other people but came off the bike and hit his head.

He went straight into cardiac arrest, and he was certified dead at 9.45pm at the accident scene.

The cause of death was a head injury and a fall from a bike. He was identified by his daughter.
