LOCAL artists and creative minds are being urged to create a piece of artwork to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

They have until the end of the month to send in their artwork to Chippenham MP Michelle Donelan, who has launched the King's Coronation Art Competition to celebrate the historic event.

Miss Donelan said: “I am delighted to launch this competition for the residents to celebrate the King's Coronation.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for local artists and creative minds to showcase their talent and be a part of this historic moment.

“I look forward to seeing the entries and displaying the winners' artwork at Number 10 Downing Street for a week.”

The competition invites local artists and creative minds to create a piece of artwork that captures the essence of this momentous occasion.

It is open to residents of Chippenham constituency in three age categories; children up to 13, 13-18 year-olds, and adults aged 18 and over.

Entries can be in any medium, including paintings, drawings, photographs, or any other artwork that reflects the coronation.

To enter, participants should post or drop off their artwork to Michelle Donelan at 61 New Road, Chippenham, SN15 1ES Chippenham by Wednesday, May 31, along with their age, name, and contact details.
