A CELEBRATION day is being held at a junior school in Westbury on Friday as part of its 50th birthday celebrations.

An open day is being held at Westbury Junior School in Queens Road, which will include the unveiling of a 50th mosaic mural and a reunion of former pupils during the afternoon and evening.

The class of 1958 will be recreated during the evening for a photoshoot.

The school has been laying on performances of its summer show, A Big Green Adventure, throughout this week, while preparations are underway for the school fete on July 5 between 11am and 1pm.

The fete will include archery demonstrations by Westbury scouts.
