PLANS for a new barracks community centre and junior ranks living accommodation have been approved.
The planning applications for the Battlesbury Barracks in Woodcock Road, Warminster, got the go ahead from planning officers at West Wiltshire District Council.
The applications submitted by Aspire Defence Capital Works, is part of a major Private Finance Initiative project with Allenby/Connaught designed to improve the living facilities for 18,000 military and civilian personnel in bases across the south west.
The community centre and living accommodation in Warminster is part of a 10-year £1.2bn construction phase.
