BIG-NAME musicians will be making their way to the historic Bowood estate near Calne today and tomorrow for the debut Rose Tree Jam concert.

Event organiser James Walden has been preparing for one of the biggest weekends of his life.

Tonight Grammy Award-winning musician Mark Ronson is headlining, along with Calvin Harris and pop new boy Sam Sparro, while KT Tunstall is the main act on Saturday.

Months of planning have gone into the two evenings of music and Mr Walden is confident of success.

Among the audience will be many young people from local schools who were offered discounted tickets to the festival that coincides with Glastonbury.

Mr Walden, from Semington, is praying the weather holds out and the festival retains a personal, intimate atmosphere, as he originally intended.

Both Ronson and Tunstall will also be appearing at Glastonbury on Worthy Farm.
