Residents and businesses in Wiltshire are being invited to share their views on public transport in the county.

The council will use the comments to inform their draft public transport policy.

Opinions of county visitors and current public transport users are also said to be welcome.

The policy in question aims to ensure residents’ access to essential facilities, services, and attractions using reliable public transport, as well as to encourage this option for daily journeys to and from work.

The council adds this would reduce traffic congestion and carbon emissions, promoting "a high quality of life for all".

Taking part in the survey provides an opportunity for people to voice their opinions, share their experiences, and propose ideas to help shape the future of bus services and other sustainable transport in Wiltshire.

Councillor Caroline Thomas, cabinet member for transport, said: “We are committed to creating a more sustainable and accessible public transport system that enhances the lives of our residents, supports our local economy, and preserves our beautiful county.

“Your feedback is invaluable in helping us achieve these objectives, so please participate in the consultation and let your voice be heard.”

The consultation will end at 11.59pm on Friday, November 10.
