The Environment Agency has issued a new flood warning for the upper Bristol Avon area covering Chippenham, Melksham and Lacock as Storm Babet batters Britain.
The warning includes the River Avon and tributaries from downstream of Chippenham to Melksham, including Reybridge, Lacock and Bewley Court.
The agency said: “Flooding is expected in this area. This means properties are at risk of flooding.
“Please take action to protect yourself and your property and monitor local weather and river conditions.
“Avoid contact with, walking or driving through flood water. Consider activating any property flood protection products you may have.”
Earlier, the agency issued two flood warnings for the Dauntsey Brook, Old Sodom Lane and The Green area, and the area between Malmesbury and Tetbury.
The agency says the owners of riverside properties on Old Sodom Lane, The Green and Dauntsey Green, including Earl Danby’s Primary School, Sodom Lane including Barn Farm and Evergreen Farm and the area around the Providance Chapel should take action to protect their homes.
The flood warning for Malmesbury and Tetbury covers Park Road, Poole Road, Gloucester Road, Mill Lane and Baskerville.
Environment Agency Flood Warning Officers set the river or tidal levels that have automatically triggered the message because of rising river levels.
