WILTSHIRE Music Centre is inviting children and adults to put their artistic flair to good use by creating bread art – with prizes on offer for those who produce a winning design on how to tackle the environmental crisis.
The bread art is just one of the activities taking place in workshops at the centre’s ECO:FEST on Saturday, November 18, from 11am to 3pm at the centre in Bradford on Avon.
ECO:FEST is a mini-festival of music and creative activity delivered in partnership with Climate Friendly Bradford on Avon. It will enable the people taking part to learn more about what’s going on in the local community.
There will be opportunities to get involved through a programme of performances, talks, activities and films and an evening concert.
A WMC spokesperson said: “At the heart of this festival is a shared interest in reducing our environmental impact.
“Its aim is to be a positive, fun-filled day with workshops, films, talks, music and food from groups like @climatefriendlyboa and Bath Share and Repair among others.
“The creations can be any type of loaf, bread rolls, focaccia, a modelled character, or whatever takes your fancy. We then invite you to bring it along to display at the Eco-Fest.
“Don’t worry if you have never tried it before – use this opportunity to have a go!"
Register your entry by emailing climatechampions@gmail.com no later than Wednesday, November 15. For more information go to wiltshiremusic.org.uk/whats-on/ecofest-day
