Police officers have been cracking down on speeding in a Wiltshire town this week.
The checks were taking place across Warminster on Monday, November 20 as the force looked to curb speeding throughout the town.
Woodcock Road was targeted at around 2.15pm just before the school rush and one motorist was stopped and provided with words of advice.
Moving onto Boreham Road police arrived at 3.30pm and four motorists were stopped and provided with words of advice.
One driver was recorded going at 45mph and was stopped and issued with a ticket for this incident.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “A thank you to the local residents who approached us and provided encouragement and appreciated our presence on the roadside.
“Let us know where you would like to see us next.”
