Flood alerts have been issued across Swindon and Wiltshire with heavy rain forecast to fall throughout the night.
Heavy rain is predicted to hit Swindon between 5pm and 10pm on Monday, December 4, while lighter rainfall is expected to continue until late Tuesday morning.
This comes after a yellow weather warning for rain was issued for Wiltshire on Monday.
Two flood alerts remain in place for Swindon and the surrounding areas as a result of the continued downpours, while a further six have been issued around Wiltshire.
The affected areas include the River Thames between Calcutt and Lechlade, the River Cole, Dorcan Brook and South Marston Brook.
While property flooding at these locations is not expected, levels have risen slightly following overnight rainfall and people have been warned not to use low-lying footpaths.
Elsewhere around Wiltshire, communities may be affected by groundwater flooding in the Upper Og Valley north of Marlborough, while rising river levels are expected to affect locations near the Bristol Avon, Tetbury Avon, Sherston Avon, and Dauntsey Brook.
Flood alerts have also been issued for the River Biss catchment between Trowbridge and Westbury and the Mid Bristol Avon area from Trowbridge to Melksham.
The flood gates at Holt Road may be closed as a result.
