A large power cut on the residential outskirts of Westbury has left over 100 households without electricity for hours.
Several households in the Heywood and Hawkeridge area are affected as well as houses near Park Lane and Westbury Landfill Site, and several streets close to Bitham Park.
These houses have had no power since 8.26am on Friday, December 15, after an unexpected power cut occurred.
21 postcodes have been affected, particularly those in the BA13 postcode area, and 118 customers have been left completely powerless, with electricity in the area not expected to return until just after midday on Friday afternoon.
Westbury Golf Club and Bitham Brook Primary School also appear to have been hit by the power outage, according to a map provided by Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks.
A spokesperson from SSEN said: “We’re sorry for the loss of supply, we currently have a fault affecting the area.
“Our engineers are working hard to get the power back on as quickly as they can.”
