Wiltshire Council has announced the opening times of the county’s Household Recycling Centres across the festive period.
On Christmas Eve, all recycling centres are open from 10.00am to 1.00pm.
None of them will be open on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
The opening times then vary according to the recycling centre.
Wednesday, December 27, 10.00am to 4.00pm:
Devizes, Salisbury, Stanton St Quinton (Chippenham) and Trowbridge.
Thursday, December 28, 10.00am to 4.00pm:
Amesbury, Marlborough, Melksham, Purton
Friday, December 29, 10.00am to 4.00pm:
Lower Compton (Calne), Amesbury, Marlborough, Melksham, Purton, Warminster
All Household Recycling Centres will then re-open on Saturday, December 30 and Sunday, December 31 from 10.00am to 4.00pm, before all closing again on Monday, January 1.
The future opening times of the county’s Household Recycling Centres can be found on Wiltshire Council’s website.
Before visiting a recycling centre, residents are asked to sort their items into different materials such as wood, metals, batteries, green waste, and electricals.
According to Wiltshire Council, a third of the items put in the general rubbish skips at Wiltshire's recycling sites could have been recycled.
