Wiltshire Police have arrested two men suspected of driving through Trowbridge with drugs in their car, and with no licence.

The men, who were in a Peugeot 208, were spotted on West Ashton Road in Trowbridge and pulled over by police officers just after 3pm on Tuesday, January 9.

Officers searching the car found substances which they suspected to be class A drugs and both men, who were in their 20s, were arrested at the scene.

The driver of the car, who was from Melksham, was arrested on suspicion of drug driving, being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, using a vehicle without insurance and a licence.

His passenger was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

The two men were taken to Gablecross and held in custody, but have now been released under investigation while enquiries are ongoing.
