The driver of an Aston Martin who was caught speeding on the A303 in Wiltshire could now face court, police say.
The driver was first spotted on Saturday, February 3, 2024, by the Wiltshire Specialist Operations team who were out doing speed checks.
At the time the driver caught the team's attention, they were travelling along the A303 in South Wiltshire at 108mph.
Police officers were in an undercover car so it was not immediately obvious to the Aston Martin driver that they had been caught.
But when police officers began to follow the speeding car and attempted to pull the driver over, the motorist put their foot on the pedal and increased their speed to 125mph.
“Road Policing Unit were conducting speed checks in the south of the county today and this fine example was evidenced at a less than fine 108mph,” said a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police.
“Only to make it worse by increasing to over 120mph on the follow.
“Papers served and court awaits.”
Speed checks are regularly conducted across the county as part of Wiltshire Police's attempt to crack down on what they call the 'fatal five'.
This includes speeding, drink/drug driving, driving without a seatbelt, using a phone while driving, and dangerous driving.
