A man has been hospitalised after a car driver reportedly crashed into a tree in the car park of a busy Wiltshire supermarket.

At around 7pm on Friday, March 1, a Kia Picanto was found with significant damage after allegedly crashing into a tree in the main car park of the Sainsbury’s store on Bath Road, Melksham.

A passenger, a man in his 20s from Corsham, was taken to hospital following the smash.

Witnesses reported that the vehicle had previously collided with a bollard in the car park which then became embedded under the front bumper.
