Police are searching for a man after “violent threats” were made towards a staff member at a Wiltshire convenience store.

An incident occurred at the Tesco Express store on Hungerdown Lane, in Chippenham, during the early hours of March 6, just after midnight.

Violent threats were allegedly made towards a shop assistant at the store following a confrontation.

This has sparked a police investigation and officers have now identified a man they want to speak to in connection with their enquiries.

CCTV images of the man have been released to the public and anybody who recognises him has been urged to pass on any information to police.

“We want to speak to him in connection with reports of violent threats made towards a shop assistant in Chippenham.

“The incident happened in the early hours of March 6 just after midnight outside Tesco on Hungerdown Lane.
