A newly launched gin distillery is to celebrate the return of the monthly Trowbridge Weavers Markets with its first street party next weekend.

The Still Sisters Distillery in St George’s Works will hold the street party on Saturday, April 13 to coincide with the first Trowbridge Weavers Market of the year.

Tori Jordan, who runs the company with her elder sister Hannah Smith, said: “Let’s support and celebrate local businesses, each other and our lovely town we call home.

“We will be carrying on the party until the evening however the party will retreat into inside the distillery.”

The street party will kick off from 10am when the distillery to coincide with the outdoor Weavers Market in nearby Fore Street.

The volunteer-run Trowbridge Weavers Market brings together independent traders, live music, arts and street food.

It is popular with shoppers and visitors to Trowbridge town centre and will be held on the second Saturday of the month from April to December.

Forthcoming markets will be held from 10am to 4pm on May 11, June 8, July 13, August 10, September 14, October 12, November 9 and December 14.
