Police and ambulance workers rushed to an address in Westbury after a dead body was discovered.
Officers say they were called after the body of a man in his 70s was discovered in Penleigh Road, Westbury at approximately 5.40pm on Wednesday, April 3.
The death was described by the emergency services as "sudden" and locals spotted forensic teams scouring the area in the days following the call-out.
But three days on from the incident, Wiltshire Police has now confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious and locals have no reason to be alarmed.
"We attended a sudden death of a man in his 70s in Penleigh Road, Westbury at approximately 5.40pm on Wednesday, April 3," said a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police.
"There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and our thoughts are with his family at this time."
The man has not been named in respect to his grieving family and friends.
