Police have issued an update on an investigation into a mass pub brawl which injured officers.

Following an appeal issued on Thursday, the force has confirmed that three people have now been arrested in connection with a disorder in Trowbridge.

Officers were called to The Greyhound pub in Mortimer Street at approximately 6.50pm on Wednesday April 10.

An eyewitness claimed at the time that one "very difficult customer" refused to leave with his wife when asked politely and "then started to cause trouble".

Insp Andy Lemon said: “When officers arrived at the scene, they were confronted with a volatile and violent situation.

"During the incident, two officers were assaulted.

“Whilst three people have been arrested, enquiries are continuing and we would like to hear from anybody who has any information which can assist our investigation.

“We are aware a member of the public has made a complaint in relation to the incident and this is being dealt with by our complaints team, therefore it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time.”
