A driver in his 20s was taken to hospital as a precaution after an incident on the B3105 near Staverton saw one vehicle plough through a hedge 80 metres into a field.
Along the way, the Peugeot 308 knocked down a wooden sign support and narrowly missed hitting the river bridge at Staverton.
The incident happened on the causeway near Staverton at around 7am this morning (Friday, June 21) with three vehicles involved.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “We responded to reports of a road traffic collision on the B3105, near Staverton, around 7am this morning.
“A man in his 20s was taken to hospital as a precaution.
“No arrests were made.”
The vehicle that careered into the field suffered extensive damage to its front and has since been taped off by police.
