A suspected “stun grenade” was seized after police cordoned off a Wiltshire address over fears a munition had been discovered.
Officers cordoned off a property at Hoopers Pool, near Trowbridge, after a suspected munition was located at the site during a police raid on Wednesday, June 26.
Specialists from the Ministry of Defence were called in to deal with the device as a precaution.
The cordon was in place for some time while these specialists worked at the scene and members of the public were warned to avoid the area in the interest of public safety.
Police have since revealed that the item is believed to have been a stun grenade, although they say this had not yet been confirmed at the time of writing.
One man, in his 60s, was arrested during the incident on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, following the execution of a warrant at the address.
Police say he has not been subsequently charged with any offences.
