After 30 years in Local Government, I finally escaped and can now speak my mind about the idiotic behaviour of governments at all levels. We have too many petty rules imposed by Whitehall and too many time serving nonentities elected as councillors - and MPs for that matter. It still surprises me that our local councils manage to do anything at all.
I aim to write about both successes and failures of government. I still live in vain hope that the first will eventually outweigh the second!
As a bit of light relief I expect to write about film, TV and the arts generally. I've been taking photographs for more than 40 years and I dabble with painting, making jewellery and other crafts and writing. I have two unfinished novels, lots of incomplete short stories and some killer opening sentences.
So come back soon...
