Police are on the hunt for a serial flasher in Warminster amid fears his escalating behaviour could result in more serious offences being committed.

The first incident was reported on Friday at 4.20pm in the village of Bishopstrow, where a man was seen running naked, apart from a t-shirt, along the main road towards town, appearing to cover his genitals with his shorts as he was running.

The second incident was at 4.10pm on Saturday, when a 16-year-old girl, who was walking home, saw a man of a very similar description to the man described in the first incident, go into a telephone box near Minster Primary School, where he performed an indecent act.

This man was then caught on CCTV, a few minutes later, running through the town in the direction of Boreham Road.

The third incident was at 4.45pm on Saturday, where another 16-year-old girl was approached in Smallbrook Road by a man, who made suggestive comments to her. The girl refused to speak to the man, and he ran off in the direction of Prestbury Drive.

Police confirmed the two incidents on Saturday are linked and believe the Boreham Road area could be the key to catching the flasher.

Police inquiries have been carried out in this area, and Warminster Police have discovered, from two witnesses, that this man has been previously seen in the Boreham Road/Robin Close area, conducting himself in a similar manner.

The man is described as white, about 6ft tall, with a bald head, wearing a black pair of shorts and on two occasions, wearing a black t-shirt and the other a white t-shirt.

Inspector Dave Minty said: " We have been able to establish that these instances are almost certainly linked, and I am convinced that someone living in Boreham Road or one of the streets in the immediate vicinity of Boreham Road, will be able to identify who is responsible.

"It is imperative that we trace this man as soon as possible, before these incidents escalate into something more serious.

"My appeal is for anyone who may have witnessed these incidents, or who may have any information as to who the man may be, is to contact me as soon as possible, by ringing me on 0845 408 7000, where all information will be treated as confidential, and the callers will not be identified.

"If preferred, anonymous information may be left on the Crimestoppers number of 0800 555111."
