Hundreds of affordable homes will be built across west Wiltshire after Wiltshire Council’s cabinet gave the go ahead for a PFI scheme yesterday.
Councillors endorsed the final business case to build 242 homes in the district, with outline plans for another 100 in a second phase.
The 242 homes will be built in: Broad Street and York Buildings in Trowbridge, Hillside and Victoria Road in Warminster, Leigh Park in Westbury, the former Manor Primary School site in Melksham and in Paxcroft Mead, Hilperton.
It is expected the first homes will be ready for people to move into by the end of next year.
