A GOOD team effort resulted in West Wilts confidently taking all three points. In contrast to recent weeks, Wilts got on the score-sheet early.

Easy flowing passes and good structure led to the first goal from Fiona Pridham, as play made its way across the pitch and to her waiting stick.

It was teamwork in the middle from Laura Allsop and Pridham that led to the second, as a drive from Allsop was chipped in by her well-placed teammate at the left post.

Although Wilts now looked in control Wick got into the game. when a break from a well-taken 16-yard hit took play into the Wilts circle.

The resulting penalty corner was well taken to halve the deficit.

Wick were given room to make a few more attacks on goal but the reliability of Elizabeth Robson and Kirsty Kenyon ensured the threats were quashed.

The second half saw Wilts dominate throughout.

With the benefit of speed they were able remain ahead of play and enjoyed space to play the ball around the team.

Amanda Robson opened the second-half scoring from a gentle tap-in, just a yard from the goal.

A strong run from Jess McLean was finished off with tidy stick skills which saw the goalkeeper wrong-footed as the ball went between her legs.

The Wick goalkeeper made a string of good saves but, as the visitors bagn to tire, Angela Forno scored her first league goals of the season with two solo efforts from the far left corner.

Pridham then doubled her haul with a further two, ably assisted by McLean and Allsop.
