Corsham Town Council is hosting a road safety event, tomorrow at the Martingate shopping centre.
The event, from 10am to 1pm, will bring together many organisations that will all highlight aspects of safe driving through demonstrations, information boards, photographs and children’s activities.
The town council will be providing information on safe driving, posters, giveaways, colouring activities, quizzes and competitions, while Wiltshire Council will also be in on hand with a computerised driver reaction test simulator, which can also be attempted wearing beer goggles (glasses impair the user’s vision) to show how this may affect driving when reacting to hazards.
Wiltshire Fire and Rescue will be demonstrating an incident within their publicity trailer in the short stay car park, Wiltshire Police will be on hand giving away freebies, and the MoD Police and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) will also be in attendance.
