June Bull, nee Carrington, who had lived in the Trowbridge area for her entire life, died on November 19 at the Royal United Hospital in Bath, aged 70.

Mrs Bull was born in Trowbridge and lived on the Seymour estate and later in Summerleaze with her mother after her parents divorce.

She attended school in Trowbridge and worked in Manor Road Grocery Store after leaving school.

She met her future husband, Haydn, at a skittle dinner in the Army drill hall in Bythesea Road in 1960 and they were married two years later at Holy Trinity Church.

The couple went on to have three children, Wayne, born in 1964, Kay born in 1966 and Mark in 1968.

They lived in Holt for five years and then returned to Summerleaze.

At the time Mr Bull was an engineer at Stothert and Pitt in Bath, where he worked for 33 years until it closed in 1986.

He then went on to work at Trelleborg on the White Horse Business Park.

When their children were all at school, Mrs Bull went to work at Studley Green Primary School as a dinner lady where she worked for more than 20 years and ended up as supervisor.

Her husband said she enjoyed playing skittles and dancing in her younger days and latterly playing bingo, gardening and spending time with her six grandchildren, Paige, Quest, Chelsea, Amy, Ross and Ellis.

Mr Bull, 74, said: “She was the best; she was good to everybody.”

Mrs Bull’s funeral service is on Tuesday, December 1 at 10.45am at West Wiltshire Crematorium in Semington.
