CORSHAM Centre, who are by far the most successful ever Chippenham & District Sunday League side when it comes to the Wiltshire Sunday Cup, will be bidding to keep their dreams alive of reaching a third final when they host Swindon Sunday League Division Three side Village Inn at Meriton Avenue this weekend.

The Centre, who won lifted the cup in 2006 when the beat County Ground and again in 2008 when they defeated New Century WMC, would love to claim it for a third time.

Bbut they face stiff opposition from the likes of holders and 10-time winners Greyhound and New Century, if they can get past Village Inn.

On paper, everything suggests a win for Martin Bradfield’s side.

But having been beaten by Cooper Avon in the league’s own Knockout Cup competition earlier this year the Centre won’t be taking anything for granted.

Their opponents are in seventh place in their respective division and have won only three of their league matches to date.
