A five-year romance led to the altar when Miss Lisa Withey and Mr Mark Brownlee were married at St John the Baptist RC Church, Trowbridge, on October 24.
The bride is the daughter of Angela and Michael Withey, of Balmoral Road, Trowbridge, and the bridegroom is the son of Debra Brownlee, of Bridgwater, Somerset, and Phil Brownlee, of North Petherton, Somerset.
The bride, who wore a champagne gown of lace over crushed taffeta from Ella Bridals, was attended by her friends Amy Szymanski and Julie Greenslade and her cousins Francesca Willis and Anna Napolitano. Neil Simonot was the best man.
The couple, who are both civil servants in Bristol, met through work and got engaged after the bridegroom proposed on an outing to Greenwich Park in London in 2006.
Their reception at the Leigh Park Hotel, Bradford on Avon, included a surprise firework display to end the evening, a 29th birthday gift to the bride from her parents, as their wedding day was also her birthday.
The couple honeymooned in Montego Bay in Jamaica and have made their home in Stoke Gifford, south Gloucestershire.
