A Trowbridge man is facing the prospect of a jail term after admitting administering heroin to a woman.

George Baker, 24, pleaded guilty to administering a poison or noxious substance to Lisa Cox, so as to endanger life or cause grievous bodily harm, on September 2.

Baker, of Tudor Drive, Trowbridge, appeared at Swindon Crown Court on Friday.

Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to March 5 to give the probation service time to prepare a report on him and released him on bail until then.
