Creative youngsters will be able to unleash their imaginations in a series of free workshops run by BBC Blast.

Blast is the BBC’s youth creativity service and gives teenagers the chance to try new skills, showcase their own work and find out more about working in the industry.

Each year the BBC takes Blast on tour, giving young people the opportunity to get some hands-on experience and training in a variety of free multi-media workshops.

Blast will roll into Wiltshire College Chippenham on Wednesday. For three days it will offer people aged between 13 and 19 with a passion for music, dance, fashion, film and art the chance to take part in workshops, meet industry professionals, learn new skills, share ideas, use the latest technology and get creative.

On Wednesday from 5pm there will be a showcase by Aspire, Wiltshire College’s hair and beauty department, together with Blast VJs, photographers and dancers. Next Friday a selection of films, music, poetry and radio pieces created during the event will be shown.
