The City of Bath Male Voice Choir was started by Grenville Jones in January and already has over 50 singers attending weekly rehearsals.

The city's mayor has become patron, the first concert is in Bath's glittering Guildhall on Saturday, November 4 and in October 2007 the choir are planning a trip to Germany on a weekend concert tour.

Weekly rehearsals take place at Beechen Cliff Methodist Church, Shakespeare Avenue, Wellsway from 8-9-30pm. Full details are on www.bathmalechoir.org Grenville Jones, who is also well-known as conductor of Bath's famous Silver Ring Choir, said: "The open night is for anyone to come along and just listen, meet us and see if they would like to join. It could be the start of a brand new hobby."
