TRACEY Edwards, 41, joined the Wiltshire Air Ambulance Appeal in 2003 as fundraising coordinator and is responsible for raising £350,000 each year to keep the helicopter flying.

She does this through promoting the work of the charity around the county as it does not receive any government money and does not qualify for National Lottery funds. Mrs Edwards moved to Trowbridge six years ago with her husband, Richard, children, Jake, eight, and Millie, seven and their cat, Sooty...

What do you like most about living in Wiltshire?

I love being surrounded by the most beautiful countryside and the pretty villages.

Our local big towns/cities such as Bath and Salisbury are just lovely and are steeped in history and have beautiful buildings.

Where would you recommend for a good evening out and why?

I would recommend going to Hudsons Bar and Grill, 14 London Street, at the top of Walcot Street in Bath. It does the most gorgeous seafood and steak, a definite place to go for a treat.

Who would be your ideal dinner partner and why?

If I cannot have dinner with my husband then I would love to have dinner with Nelson Mandela. He would be a very interesting and inspirational dinner partner.

Which local landmark or attraction would you recommend?

Wiltshire has so many famous landmarks, I would recommend visiting Avebury or walking to the Lansdowne monument at the top of the Cherhill White Horse.

What is your favourite book and why?

It is too difficult to pick just one book so I have to pick three. Firstly Touching the Void by Joe Simpson - an amazing story of survival against all the odds. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte and The Butterfly Lion by Michael Morpugo, which I read to my children last summer and is a beautiful story.

What is your favourite music and why?

Atomic by Blondie.

How do you relax?

Being at home with my family, and I have to confess I love listening to The Archers on a Sunday morning.

What keeps you awake at night?

It's normally when ideas come for different ways on how to raise more money for the appeal, and all the things I didn't get time to do the day before.

If you were stranded on a desert island what three things would you take?

A book on survival, a Swiss Army pen knife and a case of red wine.
