WITH two teenage boys Zoe Pike was delighted when her new baby was a girl.

She and her partner Tony Hadley, 36, who works as a printer, are celebrating the birth of their daughter Georgia-May, who was born at the Royal United Hospital, Bath.

Ms Pike, 34, who works as a catering assistant, said the couple did not know they would be having a girl.

"The doctors tried to find out three times but because she was in an awkward position they couldn't check," she said.

"I didn't buy anything pink because I thought that would be tempting fate. We've got lots of pink things now though.

"It's brilliant to have a girl. The boys are over the moon and absolutely chuffed for me. Ashley dotes on her and they've both been helping out."

Ms Pike said the pregnancy had been a nightmare' but was pleased the labour only lasted two and a half hours.

"The other two were completely different but I've settled into it really well and am finding it easier this time, probably because I'm getting so much help from Tony and the boys," she said.

"I'm still a bit in awe because it's a girl."
