Tributes are still pouring in for the three Chippenham teenagers killed in a car crash near Devizes on Friday.

Frankie Bowyer, 16, and Jamie Walker, 17, died after the crash at 1am on Friday. George Forester, 17, of Tudor Close, died in hospital on Saturday.

The accident happened shortly after 1am on Friday when a red Renault Clio left the road and hit a tree at Rowde.

The crash happened close to the entrance to Rowdeford School on the A342.

Frankie, of St Teresa's Drive, was declared dead at the scene and Jamie, of Hatherell Road, was airlifted to Swindon's Great Western Hospital but later died.

Frankie's family have paid tribute today to their "dearly beloved boy".

In a statement they said: "Frankie lived life to the full.

"A popular friend to all that knew him, he will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

"His mother and father, three sisters, young niece, as well as his extended family, will all miss him dreadfully.

"We naturally wish to extend our condolences and prayers to the families of the others involved in this tragic accident."

The 20-year-old driver of the Clio was also injured and taken to hospital for treatment.

A Great Western Ambulance Service crew was sent to the incident.

A spokesman said: "Our crew notified our control room to request back-up and began assessing patients.

"Apparently they had to smash the car windows to start providing essential life-saving treatment while back-up, including the fire service, was en route."

Jeff Nash, from the ambulance service, added: "This was clearly a very serious incident with a tragic outcome.

"However, our crews, working with a doctor and other emergency services on scene, did everything they could to give the patients the best possible chance."

A rapid response vehicle attended the scene with another two ambulance crews, a doctor, Wiltshire Air Ambulance and a GWAS on-call officer.

Please leave tributes to the three boys below. Please keep your comments to tributes and bear in mind the feelings of their friends and family
