Talks between staff union Unison and Great Western Ambulance Service (GWAS) management over new shift patterns have failed to reach a resolution. A second round of talks were held on Friday at ACAS’ offices in Bristol.
No-one from Unison was available for comment but a spokesman for GWAS said more talks will take place.
He said: “We will continue talking to resolve any outstanding issues. We remain hopeful and confident we can reach a mutually acceptable solution.”
The talks began following a ballot of Unison members which showed that 96 per cent were in favour of industrial action in protest at shift patterns introduced in November.
