WITH regard to your report of the threat of a so-called wind farm at West Ashton you are right to say the nearest wind farm is in Oxfordshire, which is at Great Coxwell.
Anybody wishing to see the effect of wind turbines on the landscape and of villages where people live, should visit Great Coxwell.
The village is completely overwhelmed by these terrible machines and this has been devastating for people there.
The turbines have ruined the landscape for miles around for all those within sight of them, and in particular the setting of the National Trust’s Great Coxwell Barn has lost most of its magic.
The landowner and the windpower company make easy money out of the government scheme but it is everybody else around the turbines who suffer day after day after day.
