AROUND 1,700 homes in the Adcroft area of Trowbridge were affected by a power cut on Wednesday night.
An underground cable fault cut the power to the homes at around 9.20pm. Southern Electric immediately sent engineers to try and fix the problem, and were able to restore power in stages, with everyone having power back at 11.20pm.
Southern Electric have apologised for the problems and engineers are investigating the cause of the fault.
