The pressure is on Wiltshire Enterprise to match 100 candidates with apprenticeships as the 100 in 100 campaign approaches the finish line.

Wiltshire Enterprise, the business division of Wiltshire College, is running the campaign to introduce 100 apprentices into the working environment with local businesses and help young people start their career within 100 days.

This week, on day 76 of the campaign 34 apprentices had been matched with businesses, but the college was pursuing 48 “hot” leads, and is hopeful of turning many of them into jobs.

Apprenticeship vacancies are posted on the Apprenticeship Vacancy website at apprenticeships.org.uk, and grant funding is available to small and medium businesses to help fund the cost of training an apprentice.
