The number of children who have been offered places at their first choice primary school in Wiltshire starting in September is 92 per cent, a drop of one per cent on last year.
More applications for places were received this year, 5,002 compared to 4,857 last year.
The number of children who were offered places at their second place school was four per cent, up from 3.71 per cent last year, while one per cent of children were offered their third place choice.
Every child has been offered a place, compared to 2.49 per cent who were not allocated a place last year.
