Organisers of the Seend Beer Festival are urging people to buy tickets in advance.

The festival – on Saturday, May 5, at Seend Community Centre from noon to 11pm – will feature about 30 real ales and five ciders.

Richard Todhunter, one of the organisers, said: "It would be best for people to buy their tickets in advance, because there will be no guarantee there will be any left on the day itself."

The festival will also have live music from Al O’Kane, the Drystones and Stoned-F, and a pig roast supplied by local farmer John Padfield.

The festival is in its 12th year and is returning to its May slot after a change last year, when it was held in October.

Mr Todhunter said: "May is a better time of year. The day is longer and, hopefully, the weather is better. We have managed to get the numbers down, to get it back under control and more enjoyable for everyone."

There are 500 tickets available. They can be bought for £10 each at Seend Post Office, Seend Community Centre and the Brewery Inn at Seend Cleeve.

The tickets are £11 online at www.seendbeerfestival.co.uk or £12 on the day. A souvenir glass and two beer tokens are included.
