The pressure is on Wiltshire Enterprise to match 100 candidates with apprenticeships as its 100 in 100 campaign nears its end.

Wiltshire Enterprise, the business division of Wilt-shire College, is running the campaign to introduce 100 apprentices into the working environment with local businesses and help young people start their careers within 100 days.

This week, by Day 76 of the campaign, 34 apprentices had been matched with businesses, but the college was pursuing another 48 “hot” leads and was hopeful of turning many of them into positions.

Apprenticeship vacancies are posted on the Apprentice-ship Vacancy website at www.apprenticeships.org.uk.

Grant funding is available to small and medium businesses to help fund the cost of training an apprentice.
