A WILTSHIRE man is to appear before Salisbury magistrates today to face four motoring charges following an incident in which a cyclist was injured.

Shaun Higginson, 34, of Coppice Close, Chippenham, is expected to plead not guilty to the offences which relate to an alleged incident on Pickwick Road on February 23.

He is charged with driving without due care and attention, failing to stop, failing to report and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.

It is alleged that Mr Higginson hit a cyclist who suffered injuries including grazing to the left knee and hip, a swollen left elbow, a wound to the right calf, a sprained left wrist, pain to hips and soft tissue damage and/or bruising.
