Google is visiting Trowbridge to offer a day of free digital skills workshops.

Residents and business owners based in the town are invited to join Google and the event host, South West Wiltshire MP Andrew Murrison, for a day of free workshops and mentoring sessions on February 17.

The even will be held at Trowbridge Campus, Wiltshire College and University Centre and workshop topics will include digital advertising, building your own personal brand online, website analytics and social media.

Mr Murrison has invited Google as the first step in his Tech Trowbridge campaign to boost tech in the county town.

The idea was sparked by research showing Trowbridge is one of the top locations in the country for small tech businesses.

Google will be running sessions all day, from 45-minute in depth training to 15-minute sessions, alongside networking opportunities.

Businesses in Trowbridge can also have private mentoring sessions with Google’s digital coaches, who are experts in their field, to focus on personal goals for business growth.

Mr Murrison said: “I’m looking forward to meeting as many local businesses and residents as possible to find out more about how digital skills can benefit my constituency, and our businesses, entrepreneurs, and residents.”
