FROME Town boss Derek Graham has bolstered his squad by bringing two former Robins back to Badgers Hill and signing a young duo on loan from Swindon Town - but long-serving forward Luke Ballinger has left the club.

Frome have re-signed 25-year-old former Corsham Town winger Aaron Ledgister, who had a spell with the Robins last season and spent pre-season with Chippenham Town, and 19-year-old former Yeovil Town youngster Lloyd Matthews.

Frome-born Matthews initially had a spell on loan at Badgers Hill from Yeovil in 2012 before also spending the final few months of last season with Graham's men.

Meanwhile, the Robins have also been busy in loan market, bringing in striker Connor Waldon and midfielder Alex Ferguson on a month-long deals from Swindon.

18-year-old Waldon made his first-team debut as a late substitute in Swindon's League One victory over Stevenage last April whilst Ferguson, 18, captained the County Ground side's U18 team in their third-round FA Youth Cup meeting with Liverpool last season.

However, forward Ballinger has opted to bring his second spell at Badgers Hill to an end.

The 25-year-old, who is captain of the England futsal team, ended a lenghty spell at Frome to join Chippenham at the beginning of last season but returned to the Robins in February as the club secured their place in the Southern League Premier Division.

In a statement on Frome's official website, Ballinger said: "After speaking to Derek on Thursday evening, I have decided to call it a day at Frome Town.

"I have had nearly four fantastic years at this great football club but after Saturday and Monday, I feel that I don't have anything left to offer the club.

"The fans may look at my performance on Monday (Frome lost 5-0 at home to rivals Chippenham)  and felt that I wasn't putting it in, the fact is that I didn't have anything within myself to give.

"I have spoken to Derek and we both feel that is the best decision for both parties. I would like to thank Derek, the players, the fans and Jeremy (Alderman, chairman) for the support over the years and I would like to wish everyone at the football club the best in the future."

Frome travel to Banbury United tomorrow.
