DIVISION One leaders Prestige Bodyworks saw their title hopes take a massive blow after suffering a shock 3-1 defeat at home to Goatacre CC FC on Wednesday evening.
Sunday's defeat for main rivals Somerford at North Star A had boosted Prestige’s hopes of finishing top of the pile.
But a first loss in eight matches for Tyrone Prades side – only their second of the season – let Somerford back in the race for the number one spot .
Prestige had taken the lead through Dave Nolan, but found themselves 2-1 down at the break as Darren Holcombe got Goatacre back on level terms and Ed Wilkins added their second with his first goal since the start of December.
James Pope had the chance to get Prestige back on level terms but his penalty was brilliantly saved by Sam Lawro who, due to injury was playing between the sticks for the first time ever.
A second goal from Wilkins means the title race will probably go to the final day.
